Moura State School implements the Australian Curriculum through using the Queensland Department of Education's teaching and learning resource package, Curriculum into the Classroom. Curriculum into the Classroom (C2C) is a set of example planning resources to help teachers implement the Australian Curriculum. C2C materials provide a starting point for curriculum planning.
At Moura State School, classroom teachers from Prep to Year 6, use the Queensland wide, quality assured assessment tasks, developed by the Department of Education. Teachers then backwards map from those assessment tasks to develop the learning required for the students in their class to meet individual student learning needs and local contexts. Students are supported to understand the requirements of the assessment task at the beginning of the unit and actively contribute to a collaborative learning journey, which develops the knowledge and skills required for success at all learning levels.
